Jazz big band version of "Chanson for Ira."
This tune was written and arranged for jazz big band by Tom Toyama as a tribute and dedication to honor the legendary and great jazz trumpeter, tenor saxophonist and flutist Ira Sullivan. This arrangement features lite woodwinds (instead of saxophones) and muted brass to represent the melodic soft timbre that Ira liked, especially when he played his alto-flute.
